Fuel leaks out of exhaust

Hi y'all!

I have a 1989 Ford Thunderbird, 119'000 miles.

When I stop the engine, some fuel leaks out the exhaust, not too much, but it worries me.

Could this be a problem with the carburator?

Thanks for your help!

Paul

A 1989 Ford T-Bird has multiport fuel injection. It is not carbureted .

Are you sure it's actual fuel? If you had that much fuel coming out of your exhaust, I believe the car would have probably stuffed the converter by now or started a fire .

Have the car checked with a gas analyzer to see what's actually coming out the back end if you suspect fuel, but I doubt it's that.
