oil leak

To Joe F. oil leak under control crank case vent fix it. using 2qt a week , still the damage is done ,plus the miles.desided to get rebuild motor do not have $$ for gm,so must go with advance or auto zone. i myself prefer advance had better luck with there waranty than az. thank you . i trust your opions on this .

Either one is probably ok. Compare the warranties on both to see which is better.

ATK North America makes some decent rebuilt motors. They should have a good quality one for this application. I'm sure one of retailers you mentioned gets their engines from them. You could ask at the store.

As I recall they have the "blue line" which carries a 1 year warranty and their premium which carries a 3 year warranty. They were usually pretty good about the warranties.
