throw out bearring
Is the throw out bearring located in the transmission or is it somewhere near it. Also, is it worth having the throw out bearring replaced or just having the whole transmission rebuilt.

Please keep all posts on the same vehicle together for clarity and speed of reply.
The throwout bearing is typically replaced with the clutch and the pressure plate. They are not "internal" to the tranny.
You should replace the clutch, the pressure plate and the t/o bearing all at the same time.

I agree...if you dont replace them all at once, you will wish you had. And have the flywheel resurfaced if needed.
