Angry Car Stalling

Year 1985
Make Chrysler
Model Daytona
Engine Size 2.2 Turbo
Trans type(auto, manual, overdrive) auto
Recent repairs if it applies ROFL

Problem in detail with car(when problem occurs, what is engine temp, outside temp, engine rpm, etc...)
when the car heats up she starts to stutter and pause, then stalls. While it is hot, it is hard to start (getting lots of revs, alternator working well, lots of gas available) but when colder starts and runs without problems.

Any insight as to what the problem could be would be muchly appreciated. Reply in forum or feel free to email responses direct to

Chryslers of this vintage were known for bad pickups in the distributor. Common problem...it would also make sense that it is a hot start problem.

Check the links in my signature file for some ideas as well.

I agree with Joe_F....the pickup is a common problem, and causes this symptom. Check for spark from the plug wires when it stalls. If there is none, change the pickup.
