door panel

I have a 97 ford explorer V6 and need to replace the automatic side view mirror. I have ordered and received the mirror assembly from Ford and now must install. How do I remove the internal door pannel so I can get to the mirror attachment? There are two screws below the door handle and numerous(how many I do not know) plastic fasteners. Is there a special tool or special way to take the panel or fasteners on and off?

Check the the links below in my signature file for some ideas.

Barring that, ask the dealership's parts department for an exploded view/picture of the door panel and its attachments from the parts book.

Barring that, pick up a service manual at any parts store, the links below or try the library.
