avenger want to stall

A friend of mine just recently purchaced a 1995 Dodge Avenger. With in the first 2 weeks she has had the EGR valve replaced by a certified mechanic and the purge solinoid has been replaced here at home. The car has 98,000 miles on it and is basically ready for a tune up. But, it is wanting to stall when coming to a stop. It did this before the EGR valve was replaced via engine light was coming on. Computer has been cleared and now its starting over but the engine light has not come on yet. I can only guess many possiblities. Im hoping you can tell me it just needs a tune up or do you know what it could be.

A tune up would help the matter i imagine, but the source of the problem is likely a gummed up and dirty throttle body...and/or IAC pintle and seat. Do the tune up, clean the Tbody, and see what you have from there.
