front breaks and power window
This is a great site, thanks. I replaced the pads and rotors on the front of my 1994 Ford Tempo. I have been driving it for a week and they seem to work fine but I feel like I have to press harder than normal to stop. I pump the breaks and that seems to build up some pressure. I thought I smelled them burning once but am not sure if I am just paranoid or not. Do I need to bleed them?
Secondly, I have a 1995 Chev. Lumina with broken front power windows on both sides. They go down fine but when going up they move about 1cm and die. After driving around for a minute they seem to get enough juice to go another 1-2cm. Eventually you can get them up if you drive around long enough... can I fix this without paying the hundred of dollars required by a pro?

Sounds like you need to bleed the brakes....at the least. That may not be the entire problem. Bleed them and see how much better they are. It also sounds like your window motor is tired and worn out.....OR.....the window track and regulator needs lubrication.
