Camshaft Position Sensor

IS THERE A WAY FOR THE GM DEALER TO TEST THE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR ON A V-8 VORTEC ENGINE ON A 96 SUBURBAN?
THE DEALER COULD NOT DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF MY ENGINE T STALLING AT LOW SPEEDS (REFERENCE MY PREVIOUS THREAD)
THEY TELL ME THAT THERE ARE NO TROUBLE CODES IN THE COMPUTER AND CAN'T OFFER ME A REASON OR SOLUTION TO MY PROBLEM.

any shop with a lab scope can test the sensor but it should of set a code if that was a problem, and since your vehicle only stalls while driving most all your sensors will test fine when its in a shop not moving cause they are working at that time. about the only way a shop will find the problem is by getting the vehicle to act up while having scanner and possibly lab scope ,fuel guage etc all hooked up to vehicle while driving it if they cannot get it to stall they will not likely find the problem.
