98 Windstar - Power Steering Noise

Have a 98 Windstar, 3.8 L and recently it started making a squeaking/grinding kind of noise when you turn the wheels. It is not coming from the pump nor does it seem to be coming from the serpentine belt. Power steering fluid level is ok. It is a lower pitch than a belt squeak. It happens when you turn the wheels from side to side. From under the vehicle it seems to be loudest from the right tie rod, and you can feel a vibration feel in the rod. Any ideas what it may be? a seized or dry tie rod end? There are no grease fittings on the steering linkage that I can find.

Thanks,

Ron

Check alldata.com for known bulletins and problems with this if any show up.

Ford power steering pumps have always been sources of woes.
