97 Blazer shuts off

97 blazer le v6 vortec automatic!
where is the EGR valve. I've looked on both exhaust manifolds
and only found what looks to be oxygen sensors on both sides!
There is absoloutly nothing by the exhaust manifolds except for a
shield for the spark plug wires. Thank you in Advance! This pertains to my previous question abouth this car shuting off
at speeds up to 60 mph for about 2 seconds and without restarting I can continue to drive as long as 25 miles????

Have a look at the emission diagram under the hood.

It should show the location of the EGR valve. It might be under a cover or hidden by other accessories.

A quick call to any GM dealer's parts department will net the location in a jiffy. Their parts computer will show it in a few clicks of the mouse.

The egr valve is on the intake manifold directly above the water pump, however it will not cause stalling at 60 mph since its open anyhow.I asked you on your last post to have your codes checked, have you?If you did post them I may have a better chance of helping you. They do not always cause the service engine soon light to come on.Autozone or Advance will check them for free.
