Oil
My son has just bought an 85 Nissan 300ZX and the crazy kid put 3 quarts of oil when it was only 1 quart low. What could happen to his car in this situation? What are your recommendations?

Nothing good, but usually nothing fatal, either. Will normally blow it past seals, etc, and make a big mess. You will need to get the extra oil out before driving it.

Simply change the oil and filter and put in the recommended capacity as stipulated in the owner's manual.
TowGuy: Too much oil is not good. It can cause oil foaming, which can lead to loss of oil as well. As you said, "Not good" Lol.
Also find the cause of why it's down a quart. Being a 300ZX, some were turbo in these years. Very lackluster oil control and notorious oil smokers
.
Nice looking car, poor engine
