I need brake help

Now I need some help.
My neighbors son, over the week end ,told me that when he brakes, the car "shudders" (like it's going over a wash board) and the pedal seems to pulsate. I drove it and he's right.
This just started a few weeks ago. We pulled the wheels and the front disc pads are good and the rear shoes are good. Drums look OK.
The car is a 1987 Chev. Celebrity w/70,000 miles. I helped him put new frt pads and rear shoes on 35,000 miles ago.
Is it possible the rotors are warped? Or something wrong with the calipers?

Yup, front rotors are likely warped. Very common on front drive GM applications.

They are dirt cheap for this and not worth resurfacing. You can get good quality ones from Wagner or Raybestos for 25 bucks each. Make sure to use the US or Canadian made ones. The offshore ones are typically junk.

Also I'd suggest changing the caliper bushings.
