Success!

My Question was: My 97 Dodge Caravan SE has 54,000 miles, 3.3 liter engine, 2 radiator fans of which neither work. Only overheats when stopped at red lights, stays cool when driving. Radiator fans never come on, even when air conditioniong is switched on. Do you think it it the relay? If so, which one is it in fuse box under dash/driver's side? There are 3 relays under there from what I can see. Or, what else can it be? Auto parts guy says it might be a resistor. Is this a do it yourself repair item? Ho do I do? Please help, lease is up next month and I can't spend alot of $$.

Joe F's reply was: Bring power directly to the fans. Do they work? If so, likely the fan relay.

A quick call to the Chrysler dealer's parts department should net the location in a jiffy.

Results: I brought power to the fans, they worked! Went to the dealer, bought the part, took it to their service dept., they told me where to look - behind the driver's headlamp, and there it was! Replaced it in 2 minutes and all is cool! Thanks alot!!

Wohoo!

Good job throughout the whole thing, including getting the Chrysler folks to help out and point you in the right direction.
