Clunking when I back up

Hi guys.
I got a problem with my 94 pontiac transport van
3.1 L engine

every thing is allright when i.m going forward. but when i back up i get a clunking noise from up around the front passanger side.
the sound was more promenant when i applied the brakes when backing up, but now , it's there more often even without putting on the brakes.

I had the balljoints done and CV joints replaced in the last few days.. this sound was there befor i had this done, and these parts had to be replaced anyway.
front brakes were done about 4 months ago.

could it be transmission or Brakes?

Thanks in advance guys

Make sure nothing has loosened up after the repairs were done. Sounds like it's worse since the repairs.

A broken motor mount will cause this clunking you describe.
