paint jobs

I'm looking for tips on painting. I have a 1988 Dodge Daytona that's in really good condition...not to mention I just had a new engine put in it. The only problem is it needs a new paint job. The man I bought it from only had 60,000 miles on it, but he left it out in the Florida sun for about two years. Needless to say the paint is peeling terribly. So is this something I can do myself?

You can, but to do it right, it's quite involved.
Painting is no longer a real DIY type job due to changes in chemicals, regulations and the strict cost of materials.
I suggest you read up on how to do it with books in the library, on the internet, through amazon.com etc if you're hell bent on doing it yourself.
You can save some money by working with a shop to do some of the removal and prep work yourself...this where a lot of the cost comes in.
