Firing Order for a 1977 Olds 98 8 Cylinder 403k 6.6l,4Bl

Need to know what the firing order is on the 77 Olds 98 and where does number 1 start on the distributor cap.

1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Distributor rotates COUNTER clockwise. See the diagram below.

77 olds 98 firing order

knuckles thanks so much for the diagram it was just what I needed. Now can you tell me what else to look for to make the car stop stuttering when I take off. Thanks Lorraine03

Full tune up with all plugs and filters without question.

Could be carburetor issues on something this old. Choke problems, generally worn out carburetor. Probably time for a rebuild at this age.

77 olds stutters

Thanks Joe, I will check the carbeurator and then tell her to take it to a shop for a tune up. Just a friend trying to help another. Thanks for your help
