power locks

power locks

The power locks are driving me crazy, locking everytime I get in the car and put it in gear. I would like to disable the system. According to both my owners manual and the Haynes manual there are two fuses for the system. 1, which is labled (k) the interior, underhood, courtesy, I/P, trunk lights, door locks horn relay, passive restraint system, deck lid release and power antena I believe could not be disabled. The other is a circut breaker with power seats which I don't have, door locks and rear defogger. If I turned off this circut breaker and activated it when the rear defroster is needed would I hurt anything else in the electronics/computer? Thanks

forgot to mention the above car is a 93 Buick Century

Probably but not worth bypassing as it's probably tied into other things.

Locking the doors upon putting the vehicle in gear and unlocking again when in park is a good thing.

Leave it alone as is. That's what I say.
