chevy v-6 clutch replacement

I am about to attempt my first front wheel drive clutch r&r. The manual keeps refering me to see some other section. Do I need to totally remove all the parts to just replace the clutch? Is there a more comprehensive manual than Haynes?; something that addresses a job by it's tottallity rather tham each component's r&r procedure. Any help from someone who has done this before would be appreciated.

READ THE VERY FIRST POST IN THE FORUM!

We need year/make/model & engine size to offer accurate advice.

Yes, the most comprehensive manual is the OEM service manual which I suggest you buy before doing the repair.

Also agree with Knuckles about vehicle specifics.
