1993 G20 VAN Hesitation

1993 Chevy G20 VAN 5.7 L V8 Auto
VAN Hesitates Once it has been driven about 10 miles. I have to accelerate slowly in order to prevent surging, The fuel pump and filter were replaced about 50 miles ago. The fuel pump and filter were replaced for the same problems above. After the change the problem went away, but now has come back again. The van has less than 5000 miles on a remanufactured engine and a new transmission.

Start with a fuel pressure check with a reliable gauge. What brand of pump was used during the replacement? Was the tank boiled out and both the pump and the in tank screen changed?

With that in mind, is the check engine light on?

The check engine light did come on and I checked the code/s, which were 34 and 44. The fuel screen/filter on the pump was replaced.

Ya, and the fuel pressure is???? Gotta start with the basics or it will soak you for more than it's worth .

If the pump used was not an AC Delco and the tank was not boiled out, chances are you could be doing the job again .
