Dodge Caravan A/C

My 97 Caravan's A/C is not getting very cold. I got the van good and hot, turned on the A/C and pulled the fuse and I could hear the compressor dis-engage and then re-engage when I put the fuse back in. When I put the $20 tester from Auto Zone on the low pressure side, it said the pressure was way too high (red zone), then it slowly dropped to "normal". The high pressure line at the compressor is very hot and the low pressure side is warm. I put in some leak detector to see if I could see anthing- no luck.

Any ideas???

Time for professional service. A/C is not something to gamble at with cheap tools .

Could be a stuck orifice screen, etc.
