Angry engine not running

On my 97 Ford probe, It jumped timimg so I reset the timing and double checked the distributor for position on #1 cylinder. Everything looked fine. but when trying to turn engine over it will turn over but it sounds like a whirling noise. I am really dumb-founded on what to do next. I am getting fuel to the injectors and good fire on the spark plugs. I am in desperate need of some assistance

if it jumped timing as in the timing belt jumped , you might want to check compression.

We did check the compression. It is Fine. I'm just wondering if there is anything electrical that I can check to see if that would be the problem.

Sure it's not an interference engine (check the Gates rubber website). If so, bent valves are a possibility.

Sure the timing's right?
