My 95 rodeo is an automatic, v6 with 80000 miles on it. It is not starting. It will click each time the key is turned but will not start until I turn the key several times. I was told by local parts store that it could be the starter or the starter relay. My husband told me maybe it is the solenoid but I cannot even find a solenoid in the manual. Where is the relay? Is there a solenoid? and how can I figure out which of these parts needs replaced?
minimal mechanically knowledge here but my husband knows a bit but most of his experience has been with older vehicles.

Tap on the starter body with a hammer. If the vehicle now starts, bad starter. Replace it with a rebuilt. Make sure your connections are good and tight and free of corrosion.
