Cold weather squeal from front wheel area
I have a 93 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo,4x4,with 134,000 miles.
When the temp gets below 40 deg, I get this chirping-squealing from the front left wheel area. It goes away when you accelerate past 40 mph. after it sits for a little while it will start again. I don't hear it in the summer months. Is this a seal or a cv joint? By the way the front left cv boot is torn. But if it's a cv joint would'nt you hear it all the time.

Don't count on it. Replace the joint and boot promptly.
