Egr Valve

What makes the EGR valve go bad quickly? I have a 1996 Chrysler Sebring V-6 (mistake to buy) and the EGR valve was replaced by a professional less than a year ago. Luckily it is still under warranty. I just would like to correct the problem that may be causing it to foul up.

Thanks,

John

Some vehicles are just naturally prone to carbonization of the valve. Aftermarket companies have developed screens that can trap the carbon particles to prevent it from happening again.
