Plymouth Grand Fury Hesitation (Correction)

This is a correction from my original inquiry. 1988 Plymouth Grand Fury, Reg. carb. I can not find a namne on the carb, just numbers:
at the top front;
right center on the body;
The engine hesitates and sometimes dies when starting off on level ground or incline, on an incline being worse than level ground. forward or reverse. It seems like it is worse in reverse. Once you get past this it runs like a champ.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

R40276 denotes it's a Holley..there's the start of your troubles...these vintage Holleys are leakers and stallers.

When's the last time the carb's seen an overhaul? How's the condition of the tune up items on the car? Mileage?
