95 Buick Century

I have a 1995 Buick Century. The date of manufacture is 06/95. It has the 3.1 L v6 engine. Under the steering wheel is a plug with 12 openings. The only openings that have contacts are the top and bottom left side, and the 3rd on the bottom from the left. I got a code reader for 1995 GM OBD1, and it didn't work. How can I tell if this car has OBD1 or OBD2. Also how is the best way to get a CONPLETE wireing diagram for this car.

Thank you anyone. JIM

A factory service manual is the best repair tool you can buy for it and will have all the needed electrical diagrams.

In lieu of that autolibrary.org below should have some of what you need.

The car is likely an early OBDII model if a code reader didn't work (most are OBDI)
