Cooling Fan Grand Am 1996

1996 Grand Am with 102500 miles The cooling fan is to turning on when theengine temp gets aboove normal. I check all the fluids and they are normal. I went to the local auto part stored but the sale person have to sensor for this type of engine and he dont know wich one i need. Help please

Time for a new parts store. That guy's on permanent siesta.

Most newer vehicles have it as a function of the coolant temperature sensor if they do not have a separate fan switch. Hit any GM dealer and explain your problem. They will know what you need.
