Brakes

I have a 96 Nissan Sentra. Whenever I am driving straight, the right outer break pad grinds against the disk. Whenever I turn right, the grinding stops. Whenever I turn left, the grinding is worse. What could cause this problem?

Have you checked to see that the pads are not worn out?

The pads are only a couple weeks old.

What quality were the pads? Were the rotors turned or replaced?

Was the hardware installed properly? If you had someone do it, back to them for a test ride and have them correct the problem.

I did them myself. But after I finished, everything was fine. Then they grind when I drive now, after a few weeks.

Still didn't answer the questions about the rotors.....but Ok....anyhow.

Go to the autolibrary link I have below and retrace your steps/work and see if that helps.

Thanks. I just took them apart and redid them. Yes, the rotors were turned recently. It works now. Thanks.
