77 Dodge Aspen starter

My son's convinced his starter needs replaced in his 1977 Dodge Aspen, V-8, automatic. He's replaced the battery, had the alternator checked, but it barely turns over when he tries to start the car, so it won't start. Can you help with how to do it, where it's located, etc. Thanks.

You need to be more specific as to the problem at hand.

What is the actual trouble? Does it crank slow? Does the starter make noise? Have you checked the battery connections for corrosion and if they aren't loose? If you turn the lights on, are they bright?

If you put a fresh battery in there and you get squat, I'd look for a bad connection. On a old Chrysler jalopy this old, that's bound to be. Those Aspens and Volares had rampant rust problems .
