after driving approx 15 miles temp gauge goes three quarters almost in red thermostat,tempsending unit,& tempgauge has been replaced raid. has been cleened & checked ok waterpump has been replaced in last year also engine is a rebuilt has approx 5000 miles on it done same with old engine coolant does not boil and it seems to be a false reading all of raid. shrouds under vehicle are in place removed tstat done same thing not sure whats going on thanks for your help the vehicle is a 1991 jeep cheerokee 4.0 liter

you dont even state what type of vehicle it is, but most factory equiped temp guages ar not accurate at all, and you state the coolant isnt boiling so more than likely it isnt overheating but i would take it to a shop to have them check the engine temp more accurately to determine if it is or isnt running hot, and if its safe to drive with out damaging the engine.
