Brake Contoller Adjuster

I have a 96 Tahoe and bought a brake controller from napa for an RV trailer. According to the instructions the white wire is the ground, blue connects the brake controller to the tail wiring harness, red is the stop light switch and black is the battery.

Several questions. On the diagram it shows the red wie connected to the switch, but how do you get it in (splice?) It also shows the black wire connected directly to the battery with a circuit breaker in between (12 amp for 4 coils). Do you really wire these directly to the battery? Is the circuit breaker connected to the truck panel or is it a loose one that connects the wires (there is one like that on the RV trailer)?

Thumbs up

I suggest you contact Napa directly and have them put you in touch with their vendor's hotline. They will have this answer at their fingertips.

That's the first thing I would do.
