Toyota Truck gas milage?

I recently purchased a 1991 Toyota Pickup long box, 4 cyl. automatic (4 speed) with 119,000 km.
The truck runs well, besides idling a little high, I don't drive it hard, yet it seems to be using excessive gas, I'm not sure.
What on the average mpg should this truck get.
Cheers!

Check the EPA's website to see what it was originally rated for. That should be your guide.

The high idle problem is likely wasting some of the fuel. Also, make sure it's in a good state of tune, aligned and unloaded when need be. Excessive weight will cost you fuel mileage.

You should probably be getting 25 or so maybe a little more around town, a little better on the highway.
