The best way !!

What is the best way to plaster over MDF wood ???
Any advice would be welcome

Hi Sharon and welcome to the forums.

MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) is not a suitable substrate for plaster. Plaster is properly applied over blueboard or elxe over metal lath.

If you could give us some more info, we can probably help you out.

You would have to apply bonder on wood to have plaster stick. What exactly do you want to do?

I have built a false chimney breast in my living room from MDF.
It's purley for show only, I have now decided to artex it and hopefully this will be ok.

You might want to put some drywall over it for a good surface to either paint or texture.
