Texture, texture, and more texture....
I have a kitchen ceiling that I have to finish, it is currently drywalled and we would liek to apply a textured finish to it. I am pretty comfortable that i can do the job myself, i just have never done it and need to know what types of things I would use to apply the ceiling and the basics. Would thinned out joint compound work for this along with a textured roller? Thanks again!!!!!

That'll do the trick just fine in most cases. The surface needs to be taped, filled & sanded smooth prior to doing the texture. I'd use lite joint compound thinned down to just like a thick paint, if this is a newly hung ceiling it should be primered first.
