1/2 wall with 45 angle

Hi, At the time my boyfreind installed this 1/2 wall 8 ft long with a 45 angle 2ft long, I am no longer with him, and I have this unfinish wall to do, I have done the corners with mud, but am confused on what to do with the angle's inside and outside, Ok do I tape and if with mesh ok, or paper? never done paper I have mesh, or do i get hard angle cover like the corners. TIA Karen

The inside corner you can tape with paper. A better alternative would be a product called straight flex. As the name suggests it stays straighter. For the outside you need to use a splayed corner bead. Simply it is a different angle then the usual 90 degree. Might have to do a little serching for this as your home supply store might not carry it. All drywall supply houses carry it.
