Thumbs down purchase caulk or caulking gun -

Any advice you can share about caulk guns would be helpful to me. I am looking for a manual gun that isn't so heavy and is easy to use for home use, such as caulk tub, windows, etc.

Thank you.

the best choice in my opinion is to get a caulking gun that stops the flow of caulk when you release the trigger. Ask where you buy it. Also get one that has the pin on the end that punctures the inside of the caulk tube. Remember to only cut off a small portion of the tip[on an angle] at first you can always make it bigger later. Consider the little tubes[like toothpaste] if you don't do much caulking. Cover the end of the tube before you put it away with masking tape to keep it fresh.I use a damp tile grout sponge to clean up the extra caulk that gets on my finger after wiping. You can also use a wet spoon. Don't put on too much and you won't have to take off alot.
