Can I spray stucco on a plaster swirl design cealing?

Im removing a wall between my kitchen and dining room. The kitchen has a flat plaster cealing and the dinning room has swirl pattern plaster cealing. I'd like to know if I can make both cealings the same by praying both with stucco.

Thanks

I suspect you mean some kind of texture that looks like a sprayed (dash) stucco finish.
The right material that will bond to what you have can indeed be sprayed.
BUT you might have to smooth the textured lid first to get a match. You might be able to match it by spraying twice. Let the first coat dry completely then look at it and decide if it's good enough. If not hit it again. If this doesn't work you can always scrape it off and smooth the texture then spray again.
