sheetrock corner beads crumbling

Smile sheetrock corner beads crumbling

It seems that all the corner beads are losing their mud,you can see the metal.also their is a seem split in the ceiling.this is a one story contempory,20 yrs old.This house is one hundred ft from ocean.Lived in in summer,heat kept at 50 rest of year. Their is approx 15 corner beads .I want to hire someone to fix this,what material should they use,what,s a fair price and how long would this job take.Thanks for any info.

i also am having this problem with the fixer upper i just bought. is there a tool that you would run down the corner? i was going to make a plastic angle tool and fill it up with spackle and run it down the corner. ill let you know how it works out. any advice will help us both!!!

A corner trowel is only to be used on inside corners.

All loose j/c should be removed. Check and make sure the corner bead is secure [renail/screw if needed] and then remud. Any loose tape should be redone.
