hanging insulated drywall

Hi,

was wondering what's the best way to hang insulated dry wall? I was thinking hanging it on wooden battons wouldn't really work, like with normal drywall. Any suggestions?

thanks,
J

I'm not familiar with insulated drywall. How thick is it? How is it insulated?
I remember way back when there was some foil backed drywall but I've never heard of insulated drywall.

Hopefully one our drywall contractors or finishers will have more info.

I have never in my life heard of such product, could you tell me who the manufacturer is. Are you talking about sound insulation?

Happy to know I'm not the only one who's never heard of insulated drywall.

I think its common enough in Ireland. It's readily available here anyway. Good for installing wall insulation in old houses that had none, which is any house before 1990.

Was talking to people here, and you can get plastic "mushrooms" as they call them. You drill a hole in the wall and hammer it into the hole.

thanks for your help
