Question Question: Plastering Inside Walls Of Conservatory

Hi everybody.

I have a 9ft x 8 ft Edwardian conservatory. The walls are brick but you plasterers out there..have you ever plastered the inside walls of a conservatory?
What method do you guys use? 'dot 'n' dab' with plasterboard and then skim over with plaster? OR just plaster over the brick?

Your thoughts please

I've never plastered a conservatory. don't even know what one is. I have, however plastered over brick. Brick makes a very good plaster base. IF IT HAS NOT BEEN PAINTED.
If it has been painted there are still options
You can use a liquid bonding agend like Plaster-Weld by Larsen's Products
You can install metal lath over the brick and plaster it.
If the walls are really straight you could use veneer plaster base and then plaster it.
If the walls are really straight you can use drywall
If there is some straightening that needs done you can fur it out and then drywall or use veneer plaster base and plaster.
What is a conservatory anyway?
I learned a song many years ago one phrase of which was "the new Ashmolean Marching Society and Students' Conservatory Band"
