finishing blueboard

I put up blueboard and taped with the mesh type and for mud on the seams /screws I used all purpose joint compund. when it dried it shrunk into the seam so it's still visible. can I use tape again then mud before I have it skim coated ? planned on doing seams 3 times anyway.
thanks

You only need to tape once, after it dries you apply more mud to level out the joints, etc. For regular drywall finishing you usually tape and bed followed by 2 more coats of mud, sand as needed. I'm not sure if plaster changes the procedure any. Hopefully our plaster pro will chime in later.

On blueboard we use Master of Plaster, one coat of basecoat one coat of finish for a smooth as glass finish without sanding.Let dry 3 days and paint.good luck b
