Ausielovr:

I don't know of repairing such a hole invisibly, but putting a short bolt through the door with a washer on both sides will at least plug the hole. If the hole is in a thin part of the aluminum, I think a pair of stainless steel or aluminum washers clamped over the hole with an aluminum mandrel rivet would the the first idea I'd try.

There is also an aluminum putty you could try. The repair won't be invisible, but you wouldn't worry about snagging your skin or clothing on an exposed piece of hardware either. Good luck.

You might also try RayCrete (just do a net search to find it). I works better than aluminum putty for such things. I've tried both and I like RayCrete better (I'm an unintentional expert in fixing holes in all kinds of doors).

i remember seeing a product called "liquid aluminum". it came in a small tube like model glue. you can also try the old favorite "bondo".
