Patch two holes from towl holder
I have removed the towel holder and have two holes that I need to fill.
I tried using the 4x4 inch path from the store, but does not seem to be flush. Part of it was sticking up on the corner.
What are my other options for patching these holes?

The 2 best ways to repair it are;
Insert a piece of wood longer than the hole and secure it to each side of the hole with drywall screws thru the existing drywall. Then screw your patch piece to the piece of wood. Tape and finish with joint compound.
Or take a piece of drywall larger than the hole cut the backside removing the gypsum and paper [leave the paper on the front] then apply joint compound around the hole and press the patch piece inplace. Apply another coat of j/c when dry, sand, prime and paint.
