wall repair in my bathroom

I notice blistering on the walls in my bathroom around the shower head and just out side the shower stall.
so I opened up the wall near the shower head and looked inside at the pipes. everything looked dry no signs of a leak.
I replaced the drywall patched w/ drywall mud. scraped the other bubbled paint and rest of the wall and mudded it. Its still bubbling. what could this be?

Welcome to the forums!

Was the wall painted with an enamel? If the moisture isn't coming from behind, it must be from the use of the shower. Enamel will repell water but flat latex paint can obsorb some of the moisture.
