Replacing & Finishing Drywall - 8 hours

Is it feasible to for my contractor to replace some sections of drywall, texture (orange peel?), prime and paint in one 8 hour period of time?

In the future we will do this type of work ourselves and not try to finish it this quickly, making certain that we allow adequate drying time between steps, but my husband is not able to do this job at this time and it needs to be done sooner rather than later. However, it doesn't have to be rushed this quickly, if the contractor is willing to come back to complete it another day.

I already previously experienced having mold growing underneath wallpaper where the corner bullnose bead was finished. I don't want mold on my new drywall sections because someone rushed the job. Should I ask them to spread the work out over a few days?

With use of hot muds [like durabond] the drywall can be hung, finished and textured in that amount of time but I'd be leary of applying primer/paint that early. Maybe he could come back the next AM and prime and then apply the finish coatof paint in the evening.

I don't think his proposed method would cause any mold issues.

Thank you for your feedback.

They just finished a similar repair for a neighbor in a single day, so this is apparently the "norm" for them with these smaller repairs.

Unless they have a number of jobs conveniently located near mine, I strongly suspect that they will do everything possible to finish in one day instead of hopping from job to job.
