Mending walls after electrician

Mending walls after electrician

Help! I am remodeling the kitchen. Yesterday the electrician cut big holes in the walls where the new cabinets will be installed. Although he put the sheetrock back in place, do I need to seal them up? Mud and/or tape? Have it replaced? Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forums!

As long as the cabinets will cover those areas, there isn't any need to do anything else to them. If it makes you sleep better you can tape the joints - just be carefull that you don't build up the area with joint compound where it will affect how the cabinets mount.

I would tape the holes, if not and they are on the outside wall then cold air will come through the seams.
