Cost to hang drywall

Hello:
I hope you guys can help. How much am I looking to pay for someone to hang my drywall. I would like to do all the mud and taping myself. I live in North texas.

Hi Neal,
Prices will vary a lot from place to place. Been awhile, but in my area I would expect to pay $15 to hang it and $15 to tape it. That's a 4'x12' sheet of 1/2". One of the problems with you finishing the taping, that's where the hanging mistakes are corrected and the quality of the job determined. The other way around a pro can correct your mistakes and make the job look perfect.

Have you considered a lift for installing the drywall? A crank up lift with a good drywall gun or Senco strip gun and the stuff goes up fast.

Too many variables to give you a good answer - best bet is to have three or more contractors submit bids and compare
