cracks under the bathroom window

So I found these cracks under the bathroom window. I think they were caused by ants. Call pest control asap to get the house sprayed. As for the cracks themselves, I was planning to repair them just by applying caulk (Kwik Seal specifically). Is it that simple or am I missing anything? Attached is a picture of the cracks.

Welcome to the forums!

A little hard to tell from the pics, is that wood trim that has cracked? Are you sure it's not just the paint that has cracked? I'd scrape/sand as needed and reevaluate. Caulk and paint might be all that is needed, just can't tell for sure from my vantage point.

Scrape off all of that old caulking, check how wide the gap is. once it's gone and see if someone took the time to fill the gap with low expanding foam like they where suppose to. No foam then add some, do not over fill. Once it sets up reapply new latex caulking.
Only need enough to fill the gap, it does not need to be all over stool or window frame.
Use Alex 230 not cheap Kwik Seal.
Ants may be getting in there but there not the cause of the caulking failure.
I'd also be checking what's going on outside that window to make sure it's water tight.
