Fix cracked seam in ceiling

Due to a roof leak the brand new ceiling I put up and textured has developed a long crack along the seam of a panel or two.

Whats the best way to fix this? I was thinking that I could cut a v channel and possibly retape the joint?

I will post a few pics

You'll need to cut and remove the tape, make sure the drywall is secure [add screws if/where needed] retape, finish and texture.
