Inside Corner Drywall Damage

I have a damaged inside drywall corner that I'm looking to fix.

I can upload pictures after work but basically picture someone punching 1 side of the corner with their palm and indenting the drywall (Not what happened for the record). The paper and tape haven't broken but the rock behind it moves freely. The opposite drywall in the corner is perfectly fine.

The total damaged area is 6" high and extends about 3" at its widest part.

Thank You

Pics could be helpful. More than likely you just need to add screws to secure the drywall to the framing and then apply joint compound as needed.
